Who we are

Executive Career Toolkit is operated by ClearPath Careers ("we", "us", "our"), based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

When you create an account and use the tools, we collect:

• Your name and email address, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Content you submit to the tools (CVs, job descriptions, LinkedIn profile text, and interview stories) so we can generate your reports.
• Basic payment and billing details when you make a purchase, handled directly by Stripe (see below). We never see or store your card number.
• Standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, used only for security purposes like rate-limiting and fraud prevention.

How we use it

We use your data to run the service you've signed up for: generating your reports, remembering your account and entitlements, processing payments, and emailing you things you've asked for (like a password reset link). We do not sell your data, and we do not use the content of your CVs or job material for anything other than producing the report you requested.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service, each of whom processes data on our behalf:

• Stripe: payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly; we never receive or store them.
• Resend: transactional email delivery (account confirmations, password resets).
• Vercel: application hosting.
• Neon: database hosting, where your account and report data is stored.
• Anthropic: where used, to help generate certain report content. We do not send this data anywhere for model training purposes beyond what's needed to produce your result.

We do not share your data with advertisers, and we do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and report data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep billing records for longer for tax or accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or object to certain processing, and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@clearpathcv.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we've mishandled your data.

Cookies

We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in. It doesn't track you across other sites and isn't used for advertising. We don't currently use analytics or marketing cookies; if that changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

The browser extension

Our Chrome extension, “ClearPath Careers: Capture job”, saves a job advert into your application tracker so you don’t have to copy and paste it. It is optional, and the toolkit works fully without it.

What it reads. Only the page you are looking at, and only at the moment you click its toolbar button. It has no background access to your browsing, keeps no history of the pages you visit, and runs nothing on any site until you ask it to. On LinkedIn it reads nothing at all, and asks you to paste the advert in yourself.

What it sends us. Only what you see in the confirmation panel before you press Save: the role title, the company, the job description text, and the address of the advert. Nothing is sent if you close the panel without saving. This is stored against your account as an application, exactly as if you had typed it in.

How it signs in. With its own token, never your login session. The token can only create applications: it cannot read your CVs, your reports or your billing details. You can revoke it at any time from your account settings, which stops the extension immediately without signing you out anywhere else. We store only a hash of it, so we cannot recover the token itself.

What it does not do. It does not sell or share your data, does not use it for advertising, does not track you across sites, and does not send anything to anyone other than us.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly.
